Street artists in Midwood, Brooklyn, created this stunning “Gratitude” mural to honor Adam “MCA” Yauch, who passed away last week at the age of 47.
Adam Horovitz posted these words on the Beastie Boys blog: “As you can imagine, shit is just fkd up right now. But I wanna say thank you to all our friends and family (which are kinda one in the same) for all the love and support. I’m glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him.” Man, that picture is really sweet. “PWR 2 MCA. I ♥ U.”
From the Comedy Awards: It was the Weekend Update reunion that wasn’t. Colin Quinn, Chevy Chase, and Norm Macdonald sat behind the desk together in a bit that ended up getting cut from the TV airing of the Comedy Awards.

When there’s a television show as heavily anticipated, written about, reviewed and examined as ‘Girls’, the HBO series by Lena Dunham that premiered April 15, it’s no surprise everyone has something to say about it. I’ll jump on the bandwagon to respond to critics and viewers who expected ‘Girls’ to represent anything other than its own characters. Of course it doesn’t. ‘Girls’ shouldn’t tell your story.
